Welcome to Chestnut Grove Baptist Church

In 1773, a small group of dedicated Christians founded Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, the first Baptist church in Albemarle County.

Since then, eleven generations of members have worked for 237 years to carry out God’s mission and to help shape the congregation we are today.

We continue these efforts in our daily lives, seeking to be a community of faith, formation and fruitfulness.
