The Children and Family Ministry of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church shall be a place where families come together with the church family to celebrate God’s love and grace. Children are a vibrant component of our congregation. We seek to raise them up in the way they should go, knowing they are loved and created in God’s image. Children and families will engage in faith, formation and fruitfulness through a variety of experiences.
Children’s Opportunities:
Royal Ambassadors – This group of boys in grades K-6 meet each 1st & 3rd Sunday evening from 6:30-8:30. They learn how to be followers of Christ through bible activities, mission work, games and fellowship.
Girls in Action – This group of girls in grades 1-6 meet each 1st & 3rd Sunday evening from 6:30-8:30. They learn and participate in missions both at home and around the world.
Tweens – Boys and girls in grades 5 & 6 are invited to come together and learn how God is working in their lives and how He can help them during this transition time period between elementary grades and middle grades. This group meets each 2nd & 4th Sunday evening from 6:30-7:45. They participate in bible application and fellowship.
Joyful Praise Singers – Children in grades 1-6 meet each Wednesday evening from 6:30-7:30. This hour is filled with music, instrumentation and scripture that are often shared with the congregation during worship services.
Mission Friends – Children aged 2-Kindergarten meet each Wednesday evening from 6:30-7:30 to learn about missionaries and the work that they do. Children engage in a variety of activities to help them understand how people can share God’s love with others.
Sunday School- all ages
Music training- various groups
Weekday Preschool- 3yrs-Pre K
