Youth

In the Fall of 2009, the youth of Chestnut Grove created the following mission statement to reflect the way that they try to engage in Faith, Formation, and Fruitfulness:

CGBC Youth exists to nurture a community of youth, serve like ambassadors of God, teach as Jesus taught, grow as our Lord has planned, and praise Him wholly in everything we do.

We meet weekly on Sunday evenings at 6:30 for dinner together. Dinner is followed by a brief Bible study and time of recreation.

On Wednesday evenings during the school year we meet from 6:30 to 7:30 for topical Bible study.

We also offer a Sunday school class for 7th and 8th graders and for high school students. These classes meet at 10:00 am on Sunday morning and include time for prayer, fellowship and Bible study.

All regularly scheduled activities occur in the Youth Space located in the basement of the church.

In addition, we plan outings and special events throughout the year, providing a mix of recreation and development opportunities for our youth.
