During a 70-year period called “Exile,” ancient bible prophets spoke scandalously of a fresh initiative God would undertake to restore a weary, dislocated people.  Here are two such promises:

The days are surely coming, says the Lord, when I will fulfill the promise I made to the house of Israel and the house of Judah. In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous Branch to spring up for David; and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.  In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will live in safety. And this is the name by which it will be called: “The Lord is our righteousness.” -Jeremiah 33:14-16

Those who HOPE in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint. -Isaiah 40:31

Need HOPE?

-  Practice the posture shift portrayed in Psalm 25:1-5

-  Invite God to breathe into you anew like the image of Genesis 2:7. Envision your strength being renewed.

-  Meditate on the tune: Look up, Child by Lauren Daigle while you drive to your next stop.
