Just as the human body depends on the functioning of each of its parts, so does the Body of Christ need the full participation of each of its members. We believe everyone has God-given gifts and passions and our goal is to connect those gifts and passions to a ministry opportunity within and outside our church. We invite you to consider your gifts and passions and where they match the ministry needs in our church and our community. To get plugged in to a ministry opportunity, please fill out our Serve Form

Below are some of our ministry opportunities and ministry initiatives.

  • PASTURE TO PRODUCE

The week COVID-19 began reshaping “normal,” Chestnut Grove gave birth to our first ever “pandemic-born” fruit-bearing partnership: the Pasture to Produce project.

Combining donated land, labor, and farming expertise, our growing partnership is slated to produce 4800-5200 lbs of calorie-rich vegetables which will supplement existing food pipelines serving our “food insecure” neighbors in the months ahead.

The ground has been prepared!  All future steps (planting, fencing, weeding, watering, and harvesting) will be coordinated by project co-captains Aaron & Mitzi Hammer of Hammered Inn Farm and Garden.  Jonathan Proffitt of Restoration Produce is our chief produce consultant, designing to maximize yield on land donated by the Philkill and Bailey families.

All interested partners are welcome!  We will carefully adhere to social-distancing guidelines at all times.
